In

Montse
Valls
Giner,
we
also
do
therapies
using
mindfulness
techniques.
This
technique
is
based
on
focusing
the
mind
on
the
"here
and
now".
Many
psychological
disorders are
caused by
unsurpassed
issues from the
past or by
irrational fears
of what will
happen in the
future or simply
by being, while
doing something,
thinking about
something else,
since this
generates
stress.
With mindfulness
the patient is
taught not to
worry about
things from the
past, that they
cannot change,
nor about things
from the future,
that they do not
really know if
they are going
to happen. This
is achieved by
teaching how to
use thought to
be fully aware
of what is being
done. For
example, when
you are eating
you must be
aware of the
flavors, smells,
textures,
colors, etc.
food and that
will prevent you
from thinking
about
conflicting
things.
Focusing the
thought on what
is being done,
little by
little, will
avoid deviating
towards issues
that worry or
produce stress.
The use of this
technique has
been proven
effective after
scientific
studies, to
treat disorders
of thought
content and
affectivity.
It may be useful
to treat any of
the following
disorders:
-
Affective
disorders
such as
panic
disorder,
anxiety
neurosis,
sadness,
euphoria,
etc.
-

of thought
content
such
as
obsessive
neurosis,
phobic
neurosis,

neurosis,

obsessive
phenomena of
normality,
OCD,
personality
disorders,
hysteria
of conversion,
hysteria
of
dissociation,
etc.
